Coaching with PerfectCircle®️ and its types – how do they differ?

Recently, interest in personal and professional development has been growing rapidly in Poland, and motivational speakers have become particularly popular. The coaching profession is still new in Poland and arouses various emotions. Among other things, it is not yet regulated by law. Despite this, more and more people decide to use it or think of it as a new, interesting career path. There are many good comparisons and definitions for coaching. In Polish, “coach” simply means “trainer”, although this does not fully reflect its definition. Most often, coaching is divided into two types – business coaching and life coaching, depending on the goals that can be achieved. At PerfectCircle®️ we specialize in two types of coaching: business coaching and executive coaching. So what makes each of them stand out?

Coaching – cooperation to achieve the client’s goal

By entering these concepts into the dictionary of the #PerfectCircleCommunity coaching school. We assumed that coaching is a personal and professional relationship between a coach and a client. The aim of which is cooperation to achieve the client’s goal and achieve the desired effects. The coach’s task is to accelerate the client’s personal development by maximizing his or her potential. When working with clients, the coach uses methods related to psychology, sports and business. These are the three main pillars of coaching. The coach also actively provides the client with feedback on the issues discussed. And also uses the client’s past experiences and resources.

What does this mean? The coach should not provide pre-made solutions. Rather they should assist the client in identifying their potential, setting goals, defining resources, setting priorities, and finding faster options for achieving the goal. This is what makes a coach different, among others. For instance, a mentor who draws on his own experience much more often and shares his experience with his mentee. Importantly, the client, also known as the coachee, should clearly articulate their objectives during their coaching session. In meetings, just as a player achieves his goal with a coach. A coaching client achieves his goals and dreams with a coach. Collaboration also often involves reflection and work with the client’s value system, motivators, blocking or supporting beliefs. Sometimes it also involves the mission or vision of oneself in the future.

Business coaching – help in achieving business goals

Business coaching, or business coaching in Polish, is a combination of two fields: business development and entrepreneurship and coaching. The coach also assumes the role of an entrepreneur. Which is why business coaching assumes the possibility of providing consulting and mentoring support between sessions. In addition, the client is most often an entrepreneur, president, board member, or senior or middle-level manager of an organization employing up to 100 people. The assumption of business coaching is to support the client in development. On the one hand, the organization’s business goals may be guidelines for leader development. On the other hand, it is the development of the key leader of the organization that influences its overall development or the elimination of bottlenecks or waste. The work may also involve defining the organization’s mission and vision, or the leader’s vision, and their coherence.

During the business coaching process, we use various tools, manuals and original PerfectCircle®️ assessments such as The Leader’s Growth Pad™ and the Leader’s 3D Scan™. These tools examine the current situation of the leader and his organization. Thanks to the tools and process we have at PerfectCircle®️, proven over thousands of sessions and hundreds of clients. We are the first in Poland to guarantee a return on investment from the business coaching process at the level of ROI = 2.  Additional effects that customers experience already during the process include, for example, increased work efficiency, better communication and cooperation in the team, improvement of the activities of the entire organization, becoming a better leader and manager.

Sometimes business coaching involves defining new strategies or accelerating current ones. Meanwhile, the client’s development as a result of business coaching also improves his satisfaction and quality of life.

Executive coaching – development of the most important competencies and skills of the leader

Executive coaching is a coaching process for the company’s top management. It is carried out for CEOs, presidents, management board members, supervisory board members, owners or shareholders of the company. It most often applies to large corporations and leaders of organizations employing over 100 people.

Here we use further tools and assessments that are even more refined and thoroughly research the company and leaders. We can examine the entire organizational culture of the company, verify the course of management meetings, and we also use our proprietary tools. These tools include the Leader’s Growth Pad™, the Leader’s 3D Scan™ and Management Flow Analysis™ assessments. The benefits of such a process are multifaceted and often bring spectacular financial benefits to the organization. For one of the companies we cooperate with. The ROI indicator was as much as a thousand-fold return upon investment in coaching! Shortening the unproductive dozens of meetings of the company’s board and management. From several dozen hours a week to a few hour. Redirecting these newly recovered hours to contact with clients resulted in a return on investment that was a thousand times equivalent to the investment in coaching.

We say that organizations, even those with thousands, rot like fish, “from the head”. The executive coaching process ensures that the head of the fish,i.e. the CEO and the company’s management, is 100% healthy, full of energy and focused on the organization’s goals. Accelerating the development of the organization’s leader translates into accelerating the development of the entire organization. Maximizing the leader’s potential. Plus working to achieve the goals set by the client in executive coaching directly translates into achieving measurable financial and non-financial benefits for the company.

If you are reading this article, it is very likely that you are looking for a coach. Or maybe thinking about becoming one yourself. (If you are looking for a coach, please contact us. During a free consultation, we will tell you how we can help you. So we will deal with the second one – how to become a coach?

First of all, coaching is a method of personal development that requires appropriate competences from a person who wants to coach professionally. A coach should be very open to people, have the ability to listen to them and inspire trust. They should be optimistic even in the face of crisis situations. Continuously, he/she must be able to motivate and believe in his client, but not agree to everything the client does. Consequently, a coach should manage his or her well-being very well and be emotionally stable. Only then can he or she be able to conduct effective coaching processes with clients. A competent coach can draw conclusions based on their own experiences or previous coaching processes and meetings with individuals. He is usually wise, has extensive knowledge and has a lot of humility and positive energy.

What does the work of a coach look like and who can become one? Most often, a coach has his or her own business or works in a team under one brand. Just as we do at PerfectCircle®️. He conducts coaching processes for clients individually or in groups. Coaches are most often people who have completed various types of courses with appropriate certificates. Individuals who have always felt a need to help others often choose this profession as the best fit for them. High salaries in the coaching industry do not guarantee success without appropriate competences and genuine desire to support people’s development.

Coaches motivated by money often fail to properly execute coaching processes, leading to clients not achieving long-term success or satisfaction. Fortunately, there are no such coaches at PerfectCircle®️. We realize the successes of our clients thanks to our own school of business coaching and executive coaching. #PerfectCircleCommunity, the process of selecting coaches to join the cooperation.
